It is relatively easy to add a printer to your MacBook while at school. Simply print from your application (e.g. command+P). Please note that if you are using an Adobe product like Acrobat there are extra steps which we have outlined further down the page. The next step is to go to Nearby Printers and choose the desired printer from the list.
Once it is added choose Black and White from the Presets menu unless you MUST print in colour.
After it completes you can use that printer in all apps to print from now on.
When you print you will be presented a non-system print dialogue which you can not add printers through. Simply click on the Printer button at the bottom of the screen and it will take you to the next screen.
Click the Yes button to proceed to the next screen.
The normal print screen will present itself. Add the printer as normal.
